Zach graduated from South Kent School located in Connecticut in 2012. After High School he attended and played baseball at the Junior College, Sussex County Community College in New Jersey. There he played middle infield for the Skylanders. Upon finishing his two years, Zach enrolled at Husson University, where he graduated in 2017. During his first season with the Eagles he primarily played third base and ended the season batting .298 with a .450 on base percentage and a .404 slugging percentage. In his senior year of college baseball, Zach moved to second base, hitting 2 home runs and batted in 20 runs. He finished the year batting .277.

In his young coaching career, Zach has already produced some great achievements. As an Assistant Coach on the Seaside Sand Gnats of the Cal Ripken College Summer League, he and the rest of the coaching staff were Runner-Ups in the leagues championship in 2017. This past summer as a head coach of the Hart Transportation River Jacks he led his club to victory in the American Junior Legion State Championship. In addition to those two teams he was also an Assistant Coach on the Hampden Academy Varsity Baseball team this past spring and plans to be on staff again this year.
