The Brady Nickerson Foundation was established to honor the life of Brady Nickerson. Brady was Sluggers Travel Baseball Players who passed away from pediatric Osteosarcoma (bone cancer) on May 26, 2019, after a month-long battle.  Brady started playing at Sluggers as soon as we opened in February 2013 and played until his tragic passing in May 2019.   The Foundation raises money to donated to several causes that were important to Brady. Every year after travel baseball & softball tryouts the Brady Nickerson Foundation awards over $15,000 in scholarships to players to play at Sluggers Travel Teams.  Scholarship applicants apply by writing an essay entitled “What Baseball / Softball Means to Me”.   If you’re an aspiring Sluggers Travel Player and would like to learn more about Sluggers Brady Nickerson Scholarships, please contact Sluggers Owner Brandon Portwine.
